Origine: The beautiful
prints offered here are from the series entitled "Flore des Serres
et des Jardins de l'Europe", which was published in Gand under the
direction of Louis Van Houtte. All of them are coming from the edition which
began in 1845 (1st series), which is quite rare now. All the plates which
were partly machine colored were also finished by hand. The "Flore
des serres et des jardins de L'europe" is one for the work which offer
the best selection of beautiful exotic plants and new species discovered
at this time. The bright colors and beautiful floral subjects make thoses
prints highly collectibale and a great addition of any botanical collection. |

in more scientific presentation used by biologists and scientists, which
is as a close-up of the flower on its own on a white background. This famous
artist has captured the exquisite detail in the leaves, stem and flower
buds. Given the changing world climate and decline in forest and wildlands
over the last century, the flowering plants from this series are in many
cases quite rare in their wild ecological habitat and are most likely found
being cultivated in a florist garden store or greenhouse. Fourtunately,
many of these species are now protected by conservation laws. Once framed,
this print would make a fine interior decorating accent in a bedroom or
